Happy Holidays!

Hello! Hope everyone is having a great holiday season. I just had to share what I got for Christmas! The imac is a gift from my husband, Jeff. He knew my old mac ibook was getting bogged down with all my photos and music and that I would keep putting off buying myself a new one even though I really wanted to. Now I should be able to have tons of photos and projects on this guy! It's totally awesome!

And that's not it....I was so spoiled this year! Both my parents and Jeffs gave us awesome presents. I don't know what we did to get such cool stuff! Guess we were really good this year (he he he...yeah right!)

Here are a few holiday projects I made but with all the rush rush I didn't get a chance to post them earlier:

This tree is super easy and fun to make. It is made from one sheet of designer double-sided paper (I used Wintergreen from Stampin' Up!). You start with a Styrofoam cone and cut your paper into little strips. I think mine were 1/2" by 4" and then you just fold them into loops and poke into the cone using little pins (just the cheap ones from the sewing section at Wal-mart). Start at the bottom and work your way up to the top. I alternated which side of the paper was facing out for each row. Then add a bow to the top and you have a gorgeous Christmas tree! These are even cuter in person!

Here's another variation:

For this one I think I made the strips a little shorter...1/2" x 3" and instead of folding them, I curled them with a bone folder and then attached them with pins. Otherwise it's made the same as the top one. I'm not sure which one I like best, I love them both!

One more project--

Here is a variation of the 2-4-6-8 box. It's made from acetate and then I made the tops and bottoms with designer paper (I used Dashing from Stampin' Up). I will probably make more of these later for valentines day since I ran out of time to make them for Christmas! Seriously, I think Christmas came early this year! I didn't get any of my projects done!

Hope you enjoyed and I'll try to post my holiday cards next!
