Card Tin

Here is a card tin I made using the Petals and Paisleys Designer paper from the Stampin' Up! Spring Mini catalog. I love making these card tins, they're super cute and help keep me organized. They also make great gifts. I've seen variations on it including a recipe tin, photo organizer, storage for cuttlebug dies...etc. Use your imagination!

To make this tin I used mainly the designer paper to cover the tin (I used my Xyron to adhere it to the tin). Then I used the Letterpress Alphabet to make the "CARDS" title and layered it with Stampin' Up! Cardstock and ribbons.

The inside has divider cards made using cardstock and the Round Tab punch. I used Everyday Flexible Phrases to stamp the words on the tabs and attached the tabs to the dividers with staples. Then I stamped on the dividers using Polka Dots and Petals and Polka Dots and Paisleys stamp sets. In the lid, I again used the designer paper and made a shorter piece to serve as a pocket for stamps!

stamps: Polka Dots and Petals, Polka Dots and Paisleys , Everyday Flexible Phrases, Letterpress Alphabet
paper: Petals and Paisleys Designer Paper, Taken with Teal, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
accessories: Tin (provo craft), Xyron for adhesive, stapler, celery, rose, and pink
grosgrain ribbon.

Folded dress card

I saw a card like this at a scrapbooking store during my last trip to Eau Claire and thought it was super cute so I had to try to make one of my own. The folding is a little tricky, you have to make two folds close to each other to get the pleat look but I thought it turned out pretty good. I just cut out the little dress top and used a little ribbon for the waist. Then I stamped the background using the small flowers from Polka Dots and Petals on celery paper and did a paper piercing along the bottom. Then I layered it with Chocolate chip (on of my favorites) and Bashful Blue cardstock. Then Stamped "happy birthday" from Everyday Flexible Phrases on top. I think I'll try to make some more of these cards with other paper designs! They'd be great for any girl on your birthday list!

stamps: Polka Dots and Petals, Everyday Flexible Phrases
papers: Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Designer Paper leftovers from previous mini catalog
accessories: celery grosgrain ribbon
technique:s folding, paper piercing

Baby Newton....

Here are the first pages I completed for my kitty scrapbook. I want to make a scrapbook featuring my kitties and I started out doing baby pictures of Newton. I got Newton when he was just several weeks old...he's so tiny and cute! I can't believe how small he was! It was so much fun to go back and find these photos of him when he was so small. I hope you don't get tired of seeing cat photos, since I have a ton left to scrapbook!

stamps: Big Deal Alphabet, polka dots and petals
paper: So Saffron, chocolate chip, certainly celery
embellishments: non-SU chipboard flowers, Round tab punch
