Another Sneek Peak!

Here is another card I made using stuff that I pre-ordered from the new catalog!! This stamp set is called Circle Circus and it is a great, versatile set. It's really just a bunch of different sized circles with different patterns. Of course, they would all fit into different sized circle punches but here I wanted to just make a fun pattern. I used new InColors on this card too. The card base is Crushed Curry and the teal color is Burmuda Bay. Aren't these great summery colors? I also used dusty durango ink and polka-dotted grosgrain ribbon! I love this new ribbon!

....and the flower? Well, I crochet that myself! Can you believe it? I found a pattern on Nichole Headys blog here and tried it. well, it didn't go so well, but after a bunch of practice trys and some help from my mom....I think I finally got it! I used crochet thread instead of embroidery floss but it works just the same. I love how cute it looks!

stamps: Circle circus, Sincere Salutations
ink:Crushed curry, dusty durango, burmuda bay
paper: curshed curry, burmuda bay, whisper white
other: crocheted flower, polka-dot grosgrain ribbon in crushed curry, scallop border punch

Another Autumn Card

This card is similar to the last one I shared.... I love the branches in the new Autumn Days set (available July 1st) and thought they would make a pretty card. I stamped them using two of the new colors, Dusty Durango and Soft Suede. It looks a little more red in the photo, it's actually a little more orangish looking in person. The soft suede paper was embossed using my big shot to add some fun texture. Then I used the sentiment across the bottom from the Heardfrom the heart stamp set. This makes a simple but beautiful card!

stamps:Autumn Days, Heard from the heart
ink:soft suede, dusty durango
paper:dusty durango, soft suede, whisper white
other: big shot texturz

Another Sneak Peek....

Here is another card I made for fathers day using one of the sneak peek sets that I pre-ordered. This set is called Autumn Days and will be in the new catalog and available July 1st. I loved this set right away because it has a masculine feel to me...all the men in my family are hunters or at least outdoorsy...and I also liked that it comes with several different branches that you could use on their own without the pheasant. For this card I used the new InColors. The card stock base is Soft Suede and the orange piece is the new dusty durango. I sent that piece through the big shot with the texture plate to make it look wood-grain. Here's a close-up where you can see it better:

I love how texture really adds to a card. It looks so much cooler in person! The center image is a piece of whisper white card stock that I die cut using the top note die in my big shot. Then I got the colors on the pheasant by coloring on the stamp with markers and then stamping it. To make the wheat look lighter I inked the stamp then stamped off on a piece of scrap paper before stamping on the image.

The for you stamp is from the Great Friend stamp set that was in the occasions mini-- this set did make it into the new catalog, I'm glad because I didn't get to use it that much yet!! And the Father word is from a retired set, everyday flexible phrases.

Hope you enjoyed this sneak peek!!

stamps:Autumn Days, Great friend, Everyday flexible Phrases
ink: soft suede, dusty durango, old olive markers
paper: whisper white, soft suede, dusty durango
other: brads, big shot, top note die

New stuff!! Sneak peek!!

I couldn't resist posting a sneak peek of my new stuff. One of the cool parts of being a demonstrator is that you get to see some stuff and you even get to ORDER some stuff early!! The items in this photo will be available in the new Catalog in July but they arrived on my doorstep just a couple days ago! ...jealous?? I know you are!! I splurged and got three new stamp sets plus all 6 of the new InColors in ink pads and refills, paper packs and markers (yep, they're adding markers to the InColor options this year, isn't that awesome?). I also got all the the colors in the new polka-dotted grosgrain ribbon. This stuff is so cool!! I can't wait to start stamping....ok, I admit, I already made a few cards.... I'll be posting them to share soon.

Meanwhile, don't forget to let me know if you want to pre-order the new catalog. If you let me know by the end of the month you get it for just $5. Otherwise you can book a workshop and get it for free.

Also, don't forget to check out the retired lists in the upper right corner of my blog. I'm only taking orders until tomorrow (June 24th) so let me know if you need anything..

Loads of love for Dad...

Hello and Happy Monday! Here is a the card I sent my Dad for Fathers Day. The main image is stamped on a piece of creamy caramel cardstock that I die cut using the Top Note die in my Big Shot. I love this die, you'll definitely be seeing more of it! I love how it has the perforated lines inside the edges of the die cut. I inked the edges of the shape using a sponge and chocolate chip ink to give it a leathered look. Then I stamped the truck and hearts from the Loads of Love stamp set. I colored it using the blender pens and Stampin' Pastels. It was fun to color this one on the creamy caramel paper because then you could see the white chalk on the headlights and bumpers of the truck. I used a piece of ruby red card stock for the card base and layered it with a strip of Chocolate chip to accent the image. I added two brads on the left side and popped up the saying "loads of love" with a dimensional. Hope Dad liked it!

stamps:Loads of Love
ink:basic black, stampin pastels
paper: chocolate chip, creamy caramel, ruby red, whisper white, close to cocoa
other: brads, top note die, sponges

Birthday Celebrations!

So sorry I haven't been blogging lately. I've got a horrible summer cold that won't seem to go away and I haven't had any energy to stamp. I'm hoping that I will feel better soon since I pre-ordered some fun stuff from the new catalog, including all the new colors and it should be here in a few days :) playtime!!

Meanwhile, here's a card I haven't posted yet. For those of you who came to my birthday stamp-a-stack, you will recognize this card. I hope you enjoyed making it! This card uses some of the InColors that will be going away at the end of the month, kiwi kiss, baja breeze and pacific point. I love this color combo, especially with the added chocolate chip, and will definitely miss these colors once they are gone. The ribbon is also retiring (kiwi kiss) but the stamp set is sticking around--Upsy Daisy-- so that's good because I love how easy to use this one is. It makes a card quick. No coloring or lining up to worry about. Just ink and stamp. On this card I stamped it twice to give a sort of shadow effect. Pretty, isn't it?

stamps:Upsy Daisy
ink: chocolate chip, baja breeze, pacific point
paper:chocolate chip, baja breeze, pacific point, very vanilla
other: kiwi kiss ribbon

Happy Birthday Gator!

I'm a little sad to see the set Wild About You on the retired list. I just love those goofy animals. I made this card the other day using the alligator (or is he a crocodile, I can never remember how to tell) and the bird. I combined him with the wheel Funky Forest and thought it turned out to be a really cute card. This would be great for a little boy. The sentiment Birthday celebrations is from the Upsy Daisy set. I don't usually combine so many sets on one card but it was kind of fun to mix and match to see what goes together!

stamps:Wild About You, Funky Forest, Upsy Daisy
ink: kiwi kiss, pacific poing, chocolate chip
paper: kiwi kiss, pacific point, whisper white
other: chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon
