Sparkly Snowflake Card

Can you believe that it's only a little over two months until christmas? Time to get started on those holiday cards!  Today I'm sharing another one of the cards we made at my season of sparkles class last week. This card was one of the favorites, I think! It was also the simplest to make. For this card, you simply emboss the vanilla cardstock with the snowflake embossing folder in the big shot.  To make that piece have a little sparkle, I spritzed it with a mixture of alcohol and champagne shimmer paint in a stamping Spritzer mist bottle.

Then I add a piece of patterned paper to make a fun accent (I used the First Edition paper  from Stampin' Up that looks like newsprint). The big sparkly snowflake is cut out with the Snow Flurry die using the Champagne Glimmer sheets… this paper is really cool… covered in glitter, it's the easiest way to add some sparkle to your cards!  To finish it off I stamped the sentiment Peace on Earth and punched out the oval, adding a bit of shimmer paint to the edges with a sponge dauber.
