What I've been up to...

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been super busy the last couple weeks planning and prepping for a baby shower I hosted (with the help of my creative partner in crime, Erika) for a friend. Here's how it went-- some of the photos aren't too great since I was scrambling to take them quickly before everyone showed up!

Our dear friend is having a baby boy so we chose a color combo of lime green, bright yellow and teal. I didn't have any SU paper in those colors that was double-sided so I had to buy some to make the decor. I think it's K&Co.. a summer line that was just the right colors.

For decor I made pinwheels attached to straws and put them into buckets (target) with blue marbles (dollar store). To get the pinwheels to stay in we put styrofoam under the marbles so they would have something to stick into.

I also made a ton of mini pinwheels attached to toothpicks to put in the cupcakes as cupcake pokes-- I had some cute button looking brads that I've had forever that were perfect for the centers.

Here they are in the cupcakes-- Erika and I made 3 kinds of cupcakes: Chocolate, strawberry and Funfetti in regular and mini sizes!

Here's how I set everything up on my kitchen island:

My favorite thing I made was the "oh boy" banner. It turned out so cute!!
Here's close-up:

Erika made these awesome tissue balls to hang from the ceiling!

For the game winners I made these cute little prizes. I wanted to do something with the anti-bacterial lotions and when I saw the Butterfly-shaped ramekins I knew that would be perfect. They even had the right colors for our theme! I filled them with some shredded Easter grass and packaged them in a cute cello bag.

Of Course we had to make favors too-- I used some retired paper for these and a retired stamp set and they turned out so cute. They have candy inside (of course). I think Erika will be making these in her sleep-- I made her do most of the folding!

Erika and I taking a look at everything before the guests arrive!

And here is our guest of honor... She loved all the decor!
