Sweet Treats Halloween Shaker

I love these sweet treat cups! They make cards and treats so much fun! Last year I did a whole class with the Sweet Centers set and this year I had to pull it out again for Halloween! This is a little 3"x 3" Shaker... but the cool thing about it is that you can get the candy out without wrecking it. I made a slider on the back side... You pull on the ribbon tab and the candy comes out:

Here's a close-up of the back:

Spidey Treat...

Another cute treat made with the Big Shot Candy Wrapper Die. I have to admit, these little treat wrappers are a little tricky to put together at first but once you make a few, it definitely gets easier. The hardest part is just twisting it right at the ends. Make sure you fold over all the score lines really good before you try to put it together!

For this one, I used concord crush for the treat wrapper. Then I wrapped a piece of patterned paper from the Nite Owl designer paper around it. I used the scallop trim border punch on the patterned paper to make it even cuter. Then I made that cute flower shape by punching two scalloped circles out of black cardstock and scoring and folding them into the flower shape. Last, but not least, I stamped the black spider onto white and attached him with a dimensional. Super cute.... don't forget to put candy inside!!

Thank you Candle

Isn't this candle cool? I'm so happy with how it turned out. I made these for my hostess gifts in September! I think they really liked them. I used the Day of Gratitude set to stamp the big image on the candle. There's one on each side. Then I put it in a cello bag and tied it with some ribbons... I like using two kinds of ribbon to spice it up.

Here's a close up of the tags:

One is a leaf from the same set stamped and then punched out with the Tag Punch, and the other tag is the sentiment from the set, stamped and punched out with the oval punch! These candles make great gifts, plus they look so pretty!

I also made one for my door prize:

If you would like to learn how to make candles like this, I will be showing it at my holiday gift class on Dec. 11.... but they will be Christmas themed instead.

More Pirates!

I'm behind on posting... too much stuff going on this week and ended up with cold for a few day so I've got a whole bunch of stuff to share that I haven't had time to post! To start off, here's another pirate card! I used Crumb Cake cardstock for the base and the scripty stamp from French Foliage is stamped up the side. I love how the scripty words look with the pirates! The rest is pretty simple. The pirate on the skull is stamped in chocolate chip ink on whisper white cardstock. Then I stamped the "ARRRR" in crumb cake below him. I framed the stamped image with old olive and chocolate chip cardstock. Then to add a little fun detail I added some folded ribbon and a button on the bottom. I had to put glue between each fold of the ribbon to get it to stay down but it looks really cool!

Stay tuned for some more Halloween stuff next...

Arrrrrg! I love pirates!

Happy October! I can't believe it's October already.... October is one of my favorite months, I love the cool fall air, apple orchards, and Halloween!

Today I'm sharing a fun Pirate card. This could be great for Halloween or just for a birthday card to someone who likes pirates. I used the stamp set Beware Pirates to Stamp the pirate ship. I colored it with markers, first coloring the inside soft suede and going around the edges with old olive. Then I stamped it on Whisper White paper. Over the top I randomly stamped the scripty text image from the French Foliage stamp set. I thought it made a nice layered look. To make the soft suede paper look aged I just scruched and squeezed it up until it looked distressed. The rest of the card is simple...some river rock, a couple of brads and that's it!

Halloween Treat Wrapper

I love this new Candy Wrapper Die for the big shot! Isn't it cool? I made this one out of pumpkin pie card stock, then tied black taffeta ribbon on the sides. The bat I stamped with Versamark and embossed with silver embossing powder on black card stock and punched out with the Large Oval punch. He's from the set From the Crypt. If you like the project, make sure to sign up for my Halloween treats class on October 7th!

stamps: From the Crypt
