Retiring set- Cheep Talk

Here is the second card we made at Last Chance Stamp-a-Stack last week.

This card uses the stamp set Cheep Talk. This is a great set for anyone who loves birds. It's super cute and whimsical and creates really cute cards. To make this card I stamped the branch onto a piece of white that was cut out using the top note die in the big shot. Then I stamped the bird onto the branch and the sentiment below . The flower is made using the new Blossom Bouquet Triple layer punch.

Here are a couple more cards made with this set from past posts.

Details for this card can be found here.

Cheep Notepads

...Sorry for the pun! I found these little notepads in my stash of stuff to stamp and thought they would be really cute with some birds on them! I think these notebooks came from wal-mart and they come in like a 3 pack....really cheap too. They're so much fun to decorate because they're so cute and little! For both notebooks I used paper from the Good Morning Sunshine designer paper pack. I am so in love with this paper. Little birds and fruit...and owls!! What more could you want! Plus it coordinates perfectly with the cheep talk and Good Friend stamp sets! I stamped a little birdie image to be the focal point on one and on the other I made it simple by using the "good friend" sentiment. So cute!

stamps: good friend, cheep talk
ink:taken with teal, pumpkin pie, kiwi kiss, summer sun, basic black
paper: Good morning Sunshine Designer paper, whisper white, chocolate chip, taken with teal
other: mini notepads, turqouise ribbon, kiwi kiss ribbon, scallop border punch

friendship card

Italic
This card uses the sets cheep talk and good friend. The main image is the bird from cheep talk on the branch, framed with kiwi kiss. To add some interest I framed that with pumpkin pie card stock that I punched the edge with using the scallop punch. The card base is baja breeze card stock stamped with the flower from good friend. Then I used a piece of chocolate chip card stock and gave it a embossed dot pattern using the cuttlebug.

stamps: cheep talk, good friend
ink: kiwi kiss, baja breeze, pumpkin pie, basic black
paper:baja breeze, pumpkin pie, kiwi kiss, chocolate chip
other: pumpkin pie and whisper white grosgrain ribbon

More bird cards

I hope you're not totally sick of these yet...I'm having so much fun with this set. For this card I wanted to use a the pear. I stamped the birds on the branch and stamped the pear separately and added it on with a pop dot. to give the background some dimension I used a piece of patterned paper in so saffron. I love how this set makes super cute cards so easily.

Here is another one using the patterned paper. This time i changed up the colors a bit and added a flower with a pop dot instead of the pear.

stamps: cheep talk
ink: kiwi kiss, pumpkin pie, summer sun, pacific point, baja breeze, basic black
paper: kiwi kiss, pumpkin pie, pacific point, so saffron patterned paper

Sweet birdies!

I made this little ensemble using the cheep talk set. I just can't get enough of this stamp set, it's so adorable! I had a little orange notebook so i wanted it coordinate it with that. I stamped the kiwi kiss with flowers to make a background texture and then I stamped the bird and branch and framed it with tempting turquoise card stock. The ribbon is some ribbon I got at Michaels on sale. It's from American Crafts.

For the treat header I used pumpkin pie card stock, punched the edge with the scallop edge punch. Then I stamped two flowers using pumpkin pie and tempting turquoise.

stamps:cheep talk
ink:tempting turqouise, kiwi kiss, pumpkin pie, regal rose
paper: whisper white, pumpkin pie, tempting turquoise, whisper white.
other: striped grosgrain ribbon, cello bags, stapler

Birds again...with pears

I've seen cards with this layout before but this is the first time I've tried it. I thought this would be a perfect set to use it with! I used some more neutral colors on this card and stamped the birds and pears and punched them out with the circle punches. Then I put them on a kiwi kiss background and matted that with white to help it stand out and scallop punched the bottom of the white. The base of the card is more mustard (I definitely don't use this color much but love how it looks with the kiwi). Then I finished it off with some kiwi ribbon and the hello there sentiment! So cute!

stamps:Cheep talk
ink:Kiwi Kiss, more mustard, really rust, black
paper: whisper white, kiwi kiss, more mustard, really rust
other:kiwi kiss ribbon, scallop border punch

Big bird card!

So, even though I live in Wisconsin and it actually SNOWED this last weekend (boo), I'm being optimistic and ready for spring. Nothing says spring to me like flowers and singing birds and this card has both. I used the large bird from the Good Friend set, (which coordinates with the Cheep Talk set I showed yesterday). I love this bird but he's a little bigger than I realized! He takes up almost the whole card so he was a little challenging to work with, but I love how this turned out. I stamped and cut out the bird and his legs and used dimensionals to attach him to this card. For the background I used a flower from this set and stamped it in baja breeze and kiwi kiss inks, leaving a spot for my sentiment. I stamped the sentiment, "a special note of thanks" from the cheep talk set to finish it off. It makes a great springy thank-you card!

stamps:Cheep Talk, Good Friend
ink:Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, black
paper:Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White
other: dimensionals

Little bird card!

Hello there! Sorry I've been away from my blog for awhile. Life has been busy... but I've got some really cute new stuff to show you!

This is one of my favorite new sets from this catalog. I just love these little birdies and how cute they are on the branch. I love using these images with bright bold colors! For this card I used pumpkin pie, tempting turquoise, taken with teal and white card stock. The stamp set is called Cheep Talk and I can see it having so many uses! I used the "you've got a friend in me" sentiment on this one but it also has a "hello" and a "special note of thanks" which makes it really versatile. Plus you can decorate the branch in different ways too. I used the mini flower on this one but the set also includes a larger flower (which I used on the teal strip running across the card), heart and pear. You'll see some more cards using this set soon! I also popped up the one bird with a dimensional and added some pink ribbon. What a perfect spring card to send a friend!!

stamps: Cheep Talk
ink:Tempting turquoise, certainly celery, regal rose, pumpkin pie
paper: Pumpkin pie, tempting turquoise, whisper white, taken with teal
other: scallop border punch, rose grosgrain ribbon, dimensional
