Oh Deer! Birthday

I am SO behind in posting! I have made a bunch of cute cards to share but I haven't had a chance to download the photos yet. This week has just been super busy!

Meanwhile, here is a cute little deer card I made a bit ago and realized I haven't posted yet. I used the deer from the SU set Moose You. The little guys in this set are so cute and work great for making masculine cards. The sentiment, "it's your birthday" is from the set A little Birdie. Everything on this card is SU except for the buttons.

Last Weekends Party...

Ok, so I'm a little behind in posting... These are the projects that we made at my customer/hostess appreciation party on the 19th. So, if you missed it, here's what we did...

First project: a 2-5-7-10 box.
If you'd like instructions, let me know because I did do up an instruction sheet for this one. It's made from one full sheet of paper and is super cute! For this one we used the Baroque Motifs set

stamps: Baroque Motifs
ink: purely pomegranate, wild wasabi
paper: purely pomegranate, wild wasabi, whisper white
accessories: celery grosgrain
other: paper piercing, punches, score blade on trimmer, sticky strip


Second project: Moose Card
For this card I used the Moose you set but wanted to make it a birthday card so didn't use the "moose you so much" sentiment on the bottom of the stamp. So I colored the moose with markers, omitting the bottom sentiment. By doing this I was also able to make him two shades of brown so his big antlers stood out more.

Third project: Mini friend Pail
I found the cutest little pails...they're only like two inches tall. They're meant to be wedding favors but I just couldn't resist using them for this little mini make-and-take. I also was having tons of fun with my new crop-a-dile. The brad in the center actually goes all the way through the pail! It was SUPER easy to punch a hole in the metal pail using the crop-a-dile. You can even squeeze it with just one hand! I'm so glad I purchased this tool! If you're interested in learning more about it, contact me, I'd be glad to show you how it works. It also punches through chipboard like butter and sets eyelets easily and silently!

Whoo Hoo! New Stuff!

I finally got my order of stuff from the new Fall/Winter Stampin' Up catalog! The first thing I had to play with was Moose you. It's such a fun set! I just love the funny little animals! This card is made with the Moose and heart stamps from the set, then layered with chocolate chip paper and stitched using the faux stitching with the white gel pen. I also used staples to attach him. The background is done with the jumbo wheel, Petals, and versamark ink. Isn't he super silly?

This card is made using the same set, this time I used the "stuck on you" porcupines. I stamped the first one with chocolate chip and the second with close to cocoa ink so that they would look as if "stuck" together. Then accented with Vintage brads and framed with creamy caramel card stock. The background is stamped with the Petals jumbo wheel using versamark ink.

This is the last card I made with this set. I used the "such a deer" stamp for this one. I used close to cocoa and chocolate chip markers to stamp the deer and then stamped artichoke colored leaves on the piece of artichoke paper that frames him. I used mellow moss card stock to create the green middle piece and used the faux stitching technique with the gel pen across that. Then I tied white grosgrain ribbon on to accent. The background for this card is creamy caramel card stock stamped with the Petals jumbo roller with versamark ink.
