Polished Stone flowers

Remember the Polished Stone Card I posted Last week? If you don't you can check it out here. Here is another card I made using that same technique. This time I used a different color combo. I used rose red and so saffron re-inkers to make the background and then stamped the flowers from the Fabulous Florets stamp set over it with Staz-on Black ink. I framed it with black cardstock and added the thinking of you from the teeny tiny wishes stamp set on the so saffron paper. This card is pretty simple but I think the black makes the color combo pretty striking.

Fabulous Thank you

Similar to the post yesterday, this card uses the simple, elegant palette of black, vanilla and crumb cake - but this time I added old olive. You could easily change it to any color to make it a fabulous wedding card but I decided to make it an elegant thank you. I stamped the branch image in old olive on the old olive card stock to create a tone-on-tone effect for the background. I also used a piece of card stock that I embossed and inked using the two-tone embossing technique. I love how this turned out! The little sentiment "thanks so much" is from the Tiny Tags stamp set.

Fabulous Florets Wedding Cards!

Today I'm sharing a couple of beautiful wedding cards made with the Fabulous Florets stamp set. I love how just by using the elegant color combo of Crumb Cake, Vanilla and Black you can make a simple yet beautiful wedding card! I also used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder to add some texture to the bottom black layer. The sentiment "Wishing you Happiness Today and Always" is from the stamp set Heard from the Heart.

Here is another variation of the same idea. This time I stamped the leaf image on the crumb cake layer and the flower image onto vanilla using black ink. This one simply says "love" so it could be used for a wedding or anniversary or just because! The love stamp is from the set Tiny Tags.

Beyond the Garden paper -2

One last inlaid embossing card. I made This card using the Beyond the Garden designer paper layered over the pacific point card stock. I coordinated it with some satin ribbon and a scallop circle punched from wild wasabi ribbon. Then I stamped the Happy Birthday from the Afterthoughts hostess set and layered it over the top. This is a quick and easy birthday card!

I also stamped some flowers on the inside using the fabulous florets stamp set:

Fabulous florets and embossing

I made this card as a swap for a demonstrator event I went to last weekend. I am part of a really cool group of demonstrators that meet every few months and share ideas! I always am inspired to see what everyone else is doing and share what I am doing! It's definitely one of the perks of being a demonstrator!

I actually demoed the two-tone embossing technique to the group so I used that on my swap. I started with whisper white card stock, brayered melon mambo into onto the embossing folder and sent it through the big shot! I really love this technique. I made up a bunch of sheets of different colors and patterns so beware... you'll be seeing lots of them in the upcoming posts!

The main flower image is from the set Fabulous Florets. If you haven't purchased this one yet I'd have to say it is a must have! I am really loving all the cool things you can do with it! I stamped the stem piece in wild wasabi ink and then the bloom with Versamark ink and embossed with melon mambo embossing powder!

Fabulous flowers!

Today I'm sharing a card that I designed for my last stamp-a-stack. This card uses the stamp set Fabulous Florets from the Summer Mini Catalog. Although I admit I do have a lot of flower sets I knew this would be a really great one to add to my collection. It's very versatile because it has both bold and line art images.

To create this card I stamped the line art flower in peach parfait and the leaves in wild wasabi. Then I stamped some of the bold flowers with Versamark and embossed them using the new melon mambo embossing powder. It's hard to see in the photo but they look great. I also added some bakers twine.
