New Core'dinations Card stock is awesome!

Here is one of the cards the lucky ladies who are attending my stamp-a-stack tonight will get to make. I just love how this turned out. I used the new Core'dinations cardstock with the new Woodgrain embossing folder to make that cool texture. After embossing it you just softly go over it with the sand block and the core color shows through. Doesn't it work perfect for woodgrain?

stamps: Perfectly Preserved
ink: Lucky Limeade, Raspberry Ripple, Early Espresso
paper:  Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, early espresso Core 'dinations, Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper
Big Shot: Framelits Dies - Cannery Set, Woodgrain embossing folder
other: Word Window Punch, linen thread, dimensionals

Here's to Mickey!

Whoo hoo.. So 8 years after our magical Disney Wedding, we are finally planning on going back this fall! I'm so excited  with the planning I've been inspired to make some mickey-themed stuff so don't be surprised to see it popping up here and there on my blog in the next few months! I can't wait!

Here's a fun card made to look like the yummy mickey shaped ice cream treats that you can get in the parks. I copied this idea from a few similar cards I've seen online but changed mine up a bit. I used circle punches to make the mickey shape and then used circle scallop punches to create the "bite" . The stick is an actual popsicle stick. Then I made the rest of the card using the traditional mickey colors of red, white, black and yellow! Didn't it turn out adorable?

stamps: Friendly Phrases
ink: Black
paper:  Whisper white, Basic Black, Real Red
Big Shot: Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder
other: Circle punches, scallop circle punches, large oval punch, dimensionals, stitched daffodil delight grosgrain ribbon, popsicle stick

Happy Birthday Apple Card

Here is a card that I made for my mom for  her birthday! My mom has a big garden and does a ton of canning and such so this was perfect for her.

I used the new stamp set Perfectly Preserved and the coordinating framelits dies (cannery). DId you notice if you buy the dies and stamp set that coordinate at the same time from the holiday mini you can purchase them as a bundle and save $$? How cool is that!

For the main image I stamped the jar on very vanilla and the lid and apples and then used the framelits Cannery dies to cut them out in the big shot. It's really cool how easy it is to line these all up and cut them! I popped off one of the apples for some extra dimension using and dimensional dot. And then added some linen thread around the top of the jar lid to make it look like it was tied shut. I used this to add my words the the jar too.

I also used the framelits Labels die to create the layered shapes and added some texture by paper piercing the edge of the more mustard card stock.

stamps: Perfectly Preserved, teeny tiny wishes
ink: Lucky Limeade, Raspberry Ripple, More Mustard, Early Espresso
paper:  More Mustard, Crumb Cake, Lucky Limeade, Very Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple, early espresso, Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper
Big Shot: Framelits Dies - Cannery Set and Labels Set
other: Word Window Punch, Paper piercing tool and template, linen thread, dimensionals
