
I made this card as a thank you to my brothers for Christmas gifts. I wanted something not too "girly" so this is a pretty simple, no frills card. I started with old olive card stock for the base and decided to use the owl punch. I know some of you don't like this punch because it's a little tricky to glue all the little pieces together but I just can't help loving it! I punched out the owl and assembled him and I also die-cut the branch using the sizzlet
Little Leaves die in the Big Shot.
Here's a close- up of the owl -- you can see I raised him up with some dimensionals..

I also embossed the blue with the polka dot embossing folder in the Big Shot. The "thanks" sentiment is from the stamp set

I never thought of putting Tempting Turquoise with Old Olive. Looks great. When I look at cards like yours, I find myself thinking I'm going to have to spring for the owl punch!
