Christmas Mug

Need to use up all those little paper scraps you have left? Here's a great way to do it. Simply choose a neutral colored background for you card that goes with your scraps and then put a few strips across the card. Add on a pretty accent, such as the mug from the Scentsational season set and you have a fun modern card! This is a great way to use up little pieces and leftovers - I hardly every throw away any scraps since you can usually find a fun use for them!

Merry Christmas!

Hope everyone is having a good Christmas and spending time with their families. Today I am sharing one of the cards I sent out for my Christmas cards this year. I always let my husband give a little feedback on what stamp he likes and this year he liked the little mug so I designed a simple card using the mug for our cards. The hardest part was cutting out all the little mugs with the framelits die... Ok, not really hard but a bit tedious since you can only cut out one at a time.... I think I made 30 of this card! I will share my other holiday cards soon.
Stamps: Greetings of the Season, Scentsational Season
Paper: cherry cobbler, whisper white, crumb cake,

Happy holidays mug card

I have been bad at keeping up with my blog lately- I have been super busy with Christmas projects and then came down with a horrible cold and have been sick this whole week! I do have a Bunch of holiday cards to share that I haven't had a chance to yet so I apologize for it being late in the holiday season but I will be sharing them over the next week or so as I get caught up.
The card I am sharing today was made using the scentsational season stamp set and coordinating framelits die to create this cute little mug. The background was created using the perfect polka dots embossing folder in the big shot. I added little patterned paper flags using the scraps I had from the Festival of prints designer paper stack. Then I added the sentiment "greetings of the season" from the greetings of the season stamp set.

Forest of Trees!

I'm not sure if I like this card or not… what do you think? I was trying the create a forest of trees with the Tree stamp from the Scentsational Season set and the coordinating framelit die. I first stamped the trees and then embossed it with the perfect polka dots embossing folder. Then I cut out a tree with the Framelit die and put green card stock behind it all. I added some red ribbon to make it more holiday. I finished the card off with the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Teeny Tiny wishes set.

Easy Framelit Tree Card

I don't think I've shown you a card using the tree from the Holiday Framelits collection yet so I thought I'd try to make one. This tree shape is super cute. I love the little polka dotted tree stamp too from the Scentsational Season set. I stamped the tree on the circle and then cut one out using the framelit. They make a cute little tree duo! I'm on a roll with Simple Holiday cards this year. I love how easy  it is to make cute and simple cards using these framelits!

Hot Chocolate Mug!

I love the cute little mug in the Scentsational Season stamp set. I imagine it filled with Hot Chocolate, of course! For this simple card I used the Big shot to cut out the mug with the coordinating Holiday Collection Framelits die. Then I added on a little bling in the center with an adhesive rhinestone. The rest of the card is super simple. I punched a large circle and added the steam from the mug above it. The striped paper is from the Be of Good Cheer paper pack. It always amazes me how little patterned paper you need to use to really add a lot of color and fun to a card… I really only used a very small strip but it adds so much! Then I stamped the Merry christmas and added that on as a flag too.  This card is super simple and would make a great holiday card!
