Faux Silk Technique

Here is the other Technique we did at my February Technique Class. This one is called Faux Silk. It's sort of hard to see the technique in the photos but it has a cool sort of wrinkled silk appearance in person. To make the card I used the stamp set Vintage Vogue and the color combo of Rich Razzleberry, regal rose and old olive. I also added on a bitty button to make the center of one of the flowers!

If you couldn't make it this technique class I will be doing another one next month. Next time I'm going to show you how to do sparkly dryer sheet and baby wipe techniques! Contact me for more info!

Punched flower cards!

Remember those fun double-punched flowers I showed you here? I wanted to make some cards using them. The first is a card where I combined two different ideas that I've shown you. I had some pieces left from making this card with all the squares and thought I'd try a different take on it. So I made a vertical card with the leftover squares (all from the Sweet Pea Designer Paper Pack) and added the sentiment on the bottom from the Heard from the Heart Stamp set. I then added on a flower and some leaves punched using the XL Bird Punch. Isn't it pretty?

The next card I used the same technique on the flower but added a pretty brad in the center. This card also uses the Sweet Pea Designer Paper. For the stamping I used the phrase "you raise kindness to an art" from the Vintage Vogue Set, making that my focal point and stamping the edges with the flourishes, also from that set. The card base is Burmuda Bay and the other colors on this card are old olive and so saffron.

thanks for looking!

Sweet Vintage

I wanted to make a pretty card with soft colors using the Vintage Vogue Stamp Set. I started by stamping the flowers, leaves, and flourishes on a piece of whisper white cardstock. I wrapped it with some pink satin ribbon and framed it with some so saffron cardstock. Then I stamped the flourishes along a strip of old olive and put it on the card. The sentiment says "You raise kindness to an art" and is from the same stamp set. This card would make a great thank you!

Make-and-takes from Regionals...

I haven't had a chance yet to post what I made at the Regional Seminar last Saturday! I had so much fun swapping with everyone and taking photos. I have tons of new ideas and inspiration-- now I just need some time to try everything I learned out!!

We received the Stamp set Vintage Vouge and made a bunch of cute projects with it! Here is What the set looks like:

I love how simple and sweet this card is:

This is a cute little mini 3x3 inch card. I love the color combo with the Crushed Curry, Soft Suede and Rich Razzleberry... I never would have thought to put them together

This project was a cute little treat holder. I would be perfect for a mini bag of M&Ms or something like that..

This one uses those little Glassine Envelopes and and Sending Love notes. They are super tiny but really cute:

And last but not least, a 8x8 scrapbook page!

Milk Carton

Whooo Hoooo! I'm super excited, this morning I bought my ticket for the Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar in April! I've never been to a big Stampin' Up! event before so I'm really looking forward to it. One of the great things about being a demonstrator is getting to go to events like this and share your excitement with people who love it as much as you do! I'm sure I will get tons of great ideas to share with everyone.

I looked at the info for the seminar and attendees will be getting the stamp set Vintage Vogue so I decided to share this little milk carton I made using this set. I don't actually own this set-- I made this at a group event -- So I will be excited to get it! This little cutie was easy to make. It's made using the Mini Milk Carton Die cut from Rich Razzleberry card stock using the Big Shot. Then-- before I folded it up, I stamped the border along the bottom with Rich Razzleberry ink. Then add some polka-dot razzleberry ribbon. The flower is stamped from the same set and had a rhinestone brad for the center! Isn't it cute?
