Cherish...

I haven't posted much lately as I've been super busy and I'm anxiously awaiting my first order from the new Fall/Winter catalog. I'm hoping it will be here tomorrow....The UPS tracking number isn't working, of course, so it's a waiting game... Soon I will have some fun new sets and accessories to share!

Meanwhile, here's something new that I haven't shared yet. This is the first card I've made using acetate. I stamped the swirls from Baroque Motifs using Black Staz-On ink on a piece of clear acetate and layered it over a piece of white with a Bordering Blue swirl stamped on it. The black scallop is made using the slit punch. And the flowers are cut out and raised with dimensionals. I finished it off with some blue gingham and the "cherish" stamp. I really love this set!

stamps: Baroque Motifs
inks: Bordering Blue, Basic Black, Black Staz-On
papers: Bordering Blue, Whisper White
accessories: Black Brads, dimensionals, blue gingham ribbon, acetate

more baroque motifs

I'm having lots of fun with the new Baroque Motifs set. It makes really elegant cards. For this card I used shades of blue, starting with a bashful blue card base. The next layer is brocade blue with night of navy stamped on it using the flourish stamp set. I made the white scallop across the bottom using the slit punch. For the main center on the card I stamped the flower image using brocade blue and the congratulations image using not quite navy. I accented it with copper brads and framed it with two layers of card stock and then tied organdy ribbon around the whole thing.

stamps: brocade blue, Hugs & wishes
paper: brocade blue, bashful blue, whisper white
ink: brocade blue, not quite navy
accessories: white organdy, copper brads

Happy Hoppers!

House Mouse stamps has a new line of stamps called Happy Hoppers! I've always loved House Mouse so of course these adorable little bunny stamps were quickly on my must-have list. I just picked up these two the other day and had to make a card with them! The're so much fun to watercolor. I used the cuttlebug to emboss the background on both cards and also used my Marvy punches to punch the circle and scallop shapes. The words were stamped from the Stampin' Up set Warm Words.

Welcome Baby!

I just made some baby boycards the other night. I needed one for a co-worker and ended up making two similar designs just for fun. Both cards use litte animals cut out using my cuttlebug and a giant scallop circle punched out using my awesome marvy scallop punches. For stamps I stamped a background using the circles and dots stamps from the Polka Dots and Petals stamp set, and words from Everyday Flexible Phrases and Warm words. (Both of these word sets are 20% off this month! contact me for details)

stamps: Polka dots and petals, Everyday Flexible Phrase and Warm Words
papers: So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Whisper White, and Brilliant Blue
accessories: blue gingham ribbon, cream grosgrain ribbon, white grosgrain ribbon, cuttlebug (not SU), Scallop punch (not SU)

Happy Birthday Fish!

I had so much fun making this card for my friends son Jake's 2nd birthday. I was inspired by the wrapping paper I found in my closet that had fish on it. I made this card to match the colors in the paper. I used the polka dots and petals in the background to make a fun bubble-like background. I also used glitter on it to make it fun! I hope you enjoy it too!

stamps: Fishy Friends, Polka Dots and Petals, Everyday Flexible phrases
paper: Taken with Teal, Tempting Turqouise, Green Galore, Whisper White
accessories: Scallop punch (marvy) celery grograin ribbon, eyelets
