Pop-up Tea Card

Here is another moving card from my "Cards that Move Class". For this card I featured the stamp set Tea Shoppe! I love the teacups and sentiments in this set. It's only available until the end of the month so make sure you let me know if you need to order it for yourself.

For this card the hardest party is figuring out where to cut and score but once you have that down it's pretty easy and makes a fun card to give to someone. They pull the tab and it pops the front up like this:

stamps: Tea Shoppe
ink: pacific point, early espresso, bashful blue
paper: pacific point, early espresso, bashful blue, whisper white
other: Simply scored tool, Crumb cake seam binding ribbon, scallop oval punch, oval punch, early espresso grosgrain ribbon, sticky strip, dimensionals

Joy Fold Card

This is the last of the four folds we did last week at my fun folds class. This one is called a "joy fold" I'm not sure why it's called that but it is a fun way to fold a card. It's sort of like two cards in one.. one folds over the other and tucks into the oval on the front. When you open it it looks like this inside:

Here is another view of it partially open:

stamps: Tea Shoppe
ink: Calypso Coral, Old Olive
paper: Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper, Old olive, calypso coral, Pool Party
other: Oval Punch, Scallop oval punch, dimensional, simply scored tool

Another Easel Card

Since I was having fun making easel cards here is another one! This one I used the big teacup from the stamp set Tea Shoppe. I also used the framed tulips embossing folder to create the cool embossed frame around it. This card is quite simple, just uses a couple colors - chocolate chip, vanilla and regal rose. I added some coordinating ribbon and lined the inside of the card with Vanilla cardstock too so you have a place easily write. Last, to make the easel stand up I punched out the cute little image that comes in the Tea Shoppe Set to make a pop up. It's hard to see in the photo but it says "The White Peony Tea Shoppe".

Here's what the card looks like closed:

stamps: Tea Shoppe
ink: Chocolate Chip, regal rose
paper: very vanilla, chocolate chip, regal rose
other: Framed tulips embossing folder, rose grosgrain ribbon, dimensional dot, oval and scallop oval punches, simply scored tool.

I like Coffee.... I like tea...

I've seen these coffee cards around online lately so I knew I had to try to figure out how to make one myself... and I love how it turned out so much I used it as a project for my last stamp-a-stack! Here's the measurements: Outside of cup is 4" x 9", folded in half to be 4.5" tall x 4" wide. After it's folded you cut the two sides in, starting about 1/2" from each side on the bottom and angling out to the top corners. I made a template so I could just re-trace it to make multiples. Glue the two sides shut just alone the edges to make it a pocket. I used the liquid mono multi adhesive that comes in the little green bottle since it makes a nice thin line of glue.

As you can see the inside of the cup slides open to reveal a message, or place to write one. This piece on my card is about 3" wide by 5" tall, and again I angled the sides in .. about a half inch from each side. To make the top, I used two pieces of cardstock that were white. The first one is 1" tall x 4 1/4" wide. I rounded the top two corners to look like a coffee lid. Then I added another one, glued right along the bottom of the first that is 1/2" tall by 4 1/4" wide... just to give it that coffee lid look.. it's a little hard to see in the photo because it's white!

To make the wrap, I used a piece of soft suede cardstock that was 2" tall by 4" wide and put it through the paper crimper. I added a piece of polka-dotted ribbon in cherry cobbler to accent it with some color. Then I stamped a cup from the set Tea Shoppe that is in the current occasions mini catalog! added How perfect does it work? So cute!

Teacup of thanks!

Here is a fun card using the new Tea Shoppe stamp set and the new framelits dies from the occasions mini catalog. These dies are cool for two reasons, they nest together making it easy to layer the shapes and they easily line up so you can see where you are cutting. For this card I stamped the big tea cup using concord crush and wisteria wonder inks. If you are attending. My stamp a stack this week this is one of the four cards you will be making!

Stamps: tea shoppe
Ink: wisteria wonder, concord crush
Paper: wisteria wonder, concord crush, whisper white, cranberry crisp
Other: wisteria bakers twine, framelits dies, big shot, lace trim border punch, houndstooth embossing folder

Cup of Thanks

Have you had a chance to check out the occasions mini catalog yet? If you haven't then you definitely should -- there is a ton of fun new stuff! One of my favorite new sets is Tea Shoppe which I used to create this fun thank you card. I love how cute and simple the tea cups are! I simply colored them with markers in 3 fun colors! I used lucky limeade, pacific point and pool party. I also used the perfect polka dots embossing folder to create the background and the new edge kits to make the fun scalloped edge. The ribbon is sneak peek from the sale-a-bration mini that starts next week. What do you think?

Stamps: tea shoppe
Ink: lucky limeade, pacific point, pool party
Paper: lucky limeade, pacific point, pool party, whisper white
Other: edge kits, perfect polka dots embossing folder, word window And modern label punches
