Fall Thank you Card

It's getting a little colder here now and feels more like fall so I thought it would be a good day to share this pretty Fall Thank you card I made. I used the Stained Glass technique to make the square of red and yellow leaves. These leaves are from the stamp set Autumn Splendor. Doesn't it just look perfect for fall? I mounted it on a piece of black to really make it pop out. Then I stamped a strip of crumb cake card stock with the Woodgrain background stamp - I love this stamp! I put the whole thing together on a piece of more mustard card stock and added a piece of seam binding ribbon, also crumb cake. The sentiment is from the set Thank you Kindly.

Does this technique look familiar? I made a few other cards using it. If you want to see more cards using this check out the links to the Halloween cards I made here and here.

stamps: Autumn Splendor, Thank you Kindly
ink: daffodil delight, tangerine tango, staz-on black
paper: crumb cake, black, more mustard
other: acetate, re-inkerks, crumb cake seam binding ribbon

Another Fall Thank you

I just love fall colors and leaves! They make the prettiest colors! For this card I started with a piece of Soft suede cut the long way (so it's 4 1/4 by 8 1/2). The I put it through the big shot with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder to create that beautiful background. The main image is a leaf from the set Autumn Splendor.

To make it look like it's two toned I used the Rock-and-Roll technique. Making sure to ALWAYS use the lighter color first, ink your stamp (in this case into the pumpkin pie), then take the inked stamp and lightly roll the edges on the darker ink pad (in this case early espresso). This is a fun technique but remember to use the lighter color first or you might ruin your ink pads!

The pretty script background on this leaf is from the set French Foliage and I stamped it in crumb cake ink. Then I finished it off with a thanks from the set Thank You Kindly.

stamps: Autumn Splendor, French Foliage, Thank you Kindly
ink: Soft Suede, early espresso, pumpkin pie, crumb cake
paper: soft suede, early espresso, very vanilla, pumpkin pie

Leaf Card..

Here is a card using the set, Autumn Splendor. I wasn't going to order this set but I've seen so many beautiful cards with it I couldn't resist.I made this one by inking the leaves with a markers so that I could make them two-toned. I used bravo burgundy and rose red on some and pumpkin pie and really rust on the other ones. Then I framed it with a piece of leftover Cast-A-Spell designer paper that I punched a scalloped edge on and added some soft suede polka-dotted ribbon. The sentiment is from the Sincere Salutations set. Hope you are enjoying the holiday weekend!

stamps:Autumn Splendor, Sincere Salutations.
ink: close to cocoa, bravo burgundy, rose red, pumpkin pie, really rust
paper:soft suede, whisper white, Cast-a-spell designer paper
other: polka-dot soft suede
