Retiring set- Great Friend

Here is the fourth and final card that we made at Last Chance Stamp-a-Stack last week.

This card uses the stamp set Great Friend. This is a really beautiful set- if you don't have it yet, I'd definitely recommend it. It makes great cards and is easy to stamp with! Here is a close-up of the card we made. We used the new postage stamp punch to punch out four square and layered the butterfly over one of them!

Here are a couple more cards made with this set from past posts.

To view details of this card click here.

And recently, I used it in the dryer sheet technique class! For details click here.

If you don't have this set yet you can order it from me until the end of the month.

Sparkly Dryer Sheet!

Here is a card that we made at my technique class last week! It's a technique using a dryer sheet... It's amazing how something so simple and unexpected can look so pretty! Here's a close-up:

You can see a little better in the close-up how sparkly it is! Everyone in the class got glitter all over them... but the cards are so pretty I hope they didn't mind. I'm having a ton of fun with the technique class finding fun techniques to share!

paper: regal rose, so saffron, pear pizzaz, whisper white

Butterflies in New Colors

Here is a card that I designed to make at last nights workshop. I wanted to use some of the new InColors along with the Great Friend stamp set. I chose Crushed Curry as the base color to make it look really summery and then I used Melon Mambo to really brighten it up. I also used a little soft suede for the branches and the sentiment on the bottom. This color works great as a neutral, I think I'll be using it a lot! Then, of course, I used the scallop punch and a dimensional to pop off the one butterfly. I think having something pop off add so much fun to a card!

stamps: Great Friend
ink:Melon Mambo, Crushed curry, Soft Suede
paper:Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Whisper White
other:dimensionals, scallop border punch

Great Friend Card

Hello! I know I haven't been blogging much lately. There's been so much going on that I haven't had time to keep on top of it! I've been busy with visiting family and friends lately and planning my upcoming projects and classes....so stay tuned. There's going to be some fun projects and classes coming up!

Here is a great card using all kind of fun stuff from the current mini catalog! If you don't have this mini catalog yet, you can download it here or contact me to get a free copy.

The Card used Baja Breeze card stock with two butterflies from the Great Friend set stamped on it. Then there's a strip of the Walk in the Park Designer Paper and the new 5/8" White Satin ribbon. (this stuff is beautiful!). The edge is punched with the Eyelet Border punch. The other cool accessory on this card is the jumbo grommet. These are really cool. They're easy to attach to a card and look so neat. Then I put a courdory brad in the center. What a cool looking accent! The Sentiment says "You a friend who makes good times great" and is also from the Great friend set. It is stamped and punched out with the square punch and then accented with a scallop square behind it!

stamps:great friend
ink: Baja Breeze
paper:Baja Breeze, Walk in the Park Designer paper,
other: jumbo grommet, courdoury button, whisper white Satin ribbon, eyelet edge punch, square punch and square scallop punch
