I'm going Stamping Tomorrow!!

I'm SO EXCITED!!! Tomorrow is the Stampin' Up Regional Seminar in Milwaukee and I'm going!!! I've never had a chance to attend a Stampin' Up! Event before so this should be tons of fun! Stay tuned since I'm sure I will have lots of fun photos to share when I return...

Until then, Here's pictures of the pages we did at my first fabulous Scrapbook class. This class turned out to be a lot of fun!

We made two 12 x 12 page spreads. The first spread we did used the Daisy die in the Big Shot to make all kinds of fun Daisies for spring. It also uses the swirly stamp from the Baroque Motifs stamp set and the Lovely Letters Alphabet.

I just love how this one turned out. I purchased the On Board So Tweet birds forever ago and having been wanting to use them so this was the perfect opportunity. I covered the bird with paper from the Sweet Pea Designer paper pack. I also used the designer paper to punch out the XL flowers on the second page. I love how this all coordinates together with the Good Friend stamp set. And, of course, I had to use the Top Note die for the Big shot.... since it's my favorite!

Well, I have to go get my bag packed for tomorrow! Hope you have a good weekend!

thank you bird card

Here is a card that I did for a recent swap. The theme was punches but I couldn't resist using my good friend set so here's what I came up with. I stamped the bird with Kiwi Kiss ink and pumpkin pie ink. Then I framed him with baja breeze card stock. Then I used the scallop circle and circle punches to create a flower image to accent the bird. The background is kiwi kiss stamped with flowers and I also used the scallop border punch on white along the side.

I love how this card turned out. I have a few extras left from my swap so I will probably be using this for my thank-yous for awhile!

stamps: good friend
ink: kiwi kiss, pacific point, pumpkin pie
paper: kiwi kiss, pacific point, pumpkin pie, whisper white, baja breeze
other:punches, dimensionals

simple friend card

This is a simple card that i made using the Good Friend stamp set. I love the flowers in this set. they're so simple and modern! I stamped the stemmed flower several times using different colors for the focal image. Then I simply framed it with chocolate chip and added some ribbon around it. Then I attached it to the kiwi kiss card base and then stamped the good friend sentiment on the bottom using chocolate chip ink.

stamps: Good Friend
ink: pumpkin pie, kiwi kiss, regal rose
paper: kiwi kiss, chocolate chip
other: striped grosgrain ribbon

Wishes card...

Here is another card using the Good Friend set that I used yesterday but this time, no bird! I know..., I love the bird but the reason I wanted this set is because I could see it being used in this way as well, making a fun pattern using just the flowers. I love it when a set has pieces in it that make it versatile like that!

I wanted this set to have a soft spring feel and I love how that one flower looks like it could be a dandelion, blowing in the wind. I used only two stamps from that set with two shades of purple and certainly celery to create a soft look. Then I used the wishes stamp from the Heard from the Heart set to complete the feel. I love how simple this card was to make and how soft and pretty it turned out. Can you believe it's the same stamp set as that bright fun card from yesterday? I love how versatile it is!

stamps:Good Friend, Heard from the Heart
ink: Certainly Celery, Almost amethyst, Lavender Lace, Chocolate Chip
paper:Certainly Celery, Almost Amethyst, Whisper white
other:Certainly Celery, Whisper white

Big bird card!

So, even though I live in Wisconsin and it actually SNOWED this last weekend (boo), I'm being optimistic and ready for spring. Nothing says spring to me like flowers and singing birds and this card has both. I used the large bird from the Good Friend set, (which coordinates with the Cheep Talk set I showed yesterday). I love this bird but he's a little bigger than I realized! He takes up almost the whole card so he was a little challenging to work with, but I love how this turned out. I stamped and cut out the bird and his legs and used dimensionals to attach him to this card. For the background I used a flower from this set and stamped it in baja breeze and kiwi kiss inks, leaving a spot for my sentiment. I stamped the sentiment, "a special note of thanks" from the cheep talk set to finish it off. It makes a great springy thank-you card!

stamps:Cheep Talk, Good Friend
ink:Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, black
paper:Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White
other: dimensionals
