Cherish Card

I made this card for to send for an anniversary card. I love how versatile the Baroque Motifs set is. I've used it so much already. Hope you aren't sick of seeing it! I also used two of the new in colors from Stampin' Up!, River Rock and Blue Bayou.

Last Weekends Party...

Ok, so I'm a little behind in posting... These are the projects that we made at my customer/hostess appreciation party on the 19th. So, if you missed it, here's what we did...

First project: a 2-5-7-10 box.
If you'd like instructions, let me know because I did do up an instruction sheet for this one. It's made from one full sheet of paper and is super cute! For this one we used the Baroque Motifs set

Second project: Moose Card
For this card I used the Moose you set but wanted to make it a birthday card so didn't use the "moose you so much" sentiment on the bottom of the stamp. So I colored the moose with markers, omitting the bottom sentiment. By doing this I was also able to make him two shades of brown so his big antlers stood out more.

Third project: Mini friend Pail
I found the cutest little pails...they're only like two inches tall. They're meant to be wedding favors but I just couldn't resist using them for this little mini make-and-take. I also was having tons of fun with my new crop-a-dile. The brad in the center actually goes all the way through the pail! It was SUPER easy to punch a hole in the metal pail using the crop-a-dile. You can even squeeze it with just one hand! I'm so glad I purchased this tool! If you're interested in learning more about it, contact me, I'd be glad to show you how it works. It also punches through chipboard like butter and sets eyelets easily and silently!

Baroque Motifs in fall colors

Ever notice how when summer starts to get towards the end and the holiday stuff starts appearing in stores that your color palette starts to change? I don't know about you but I'm suddenly starting to want to make cards using browns and rusts and fall colors instead of brights and pastels. I always go through phases on what colors I use the most!

This card is using the great & versatile Baroque Motifs set with Really Rust and Chocolate Chip. I love how this set can be used in any season just by changing the colors!

Cherish...

I haven't posted much lately as I've been super busy and I'm anxiously awaiting my first order from the new Fall/Winter catalog. I'm hoping it will be here tomorrow....The UPS tracking number isn't working, of course, so it's a waiting game... Soon I will have some fun new sets and accessories to share!

Meanwhile, here's something new that I haven't shared yet. This is the first card I've made using acetate. I stamped the swirls from Baroque Motifs using Black Staz-On ink on a piece of clear acetate and layered it over a piece of white with a Bordering Blue swirl stamped on it. The black scallop is made using the slit punch. And the flowers are cut out and raised with dimensionals. I finished it off with some blue gingham and the "cherish" stamp. I really love this set!

Kind Baroque Card

Happy Monday! Back to work today, which is always hard. So I thought I'd share this cute card I made using Baroque Motifs (one of my new favorites). I stamped the flourish in River Rock on the white card stock and added some flowers using pomegranate. Then I stamped the two larger flowers and cut them out and layered them on top with black brads in the centers. The one in the upper right is raised using a dimensional dot. The thanks stamped along the bottom is from Everyday Flexible Phrases.

I'm having lots of fun with the new Baroque Motifs set. It makes really elegant cards. For this card I used shades of blue, starting with a bashful blue card base. The next layer is brocade blue with night of navy stamped on it using the flourish stamp set. I made the white scallop across the bottom using the slit punch. For the main center on the card I stamped the flower image using brocade blue and the congratulations image using not quite navy. I accented it with copper brads and framed it with two layers of card stock and then tied organdy ribbon around the whole thing.

Baroque Motifs

Here is a card I made yesterday using my new Baroque Motifs set! This makes such fun, elegant cards! I used so saffron paper for the card and stamped the flourish from this set on it. Then I used so saffron to do the flowers and added black brads. I used the slit punch to make the scallop border. I think this would be a great wedding card. I have never used black much before but I really like this color combination. It's so simple and elegant!
