I still love those trendy trees!

I really love this stamp set--Trendy Trees! I haven't pulled it out in awhile so I thought I should make a card with it. This card was super simple to make. I started with a Kraft Card stock base and a piece of white that was the same width. I tore it off to make a fun edge and stamped a row of trees using chocolate chip and old olive and certainly celery. Then I tore another piece of chocolate chip and put it underneath. Then I stamped the sentiment "thinking of you" in the lower corner. Then as a finishing touch I stamped the speckles from the Bitty Backgrounds stamp set.

Sweet Trees!

This is one of the cards we made at my Stamp-a-Stack this Tuesday! I'm sure you remember how much I love these trees...I thought, why not do them in pink? It makes such a sweet card for a February birthday or even a Valentine! The only stamp set used on this is the Trendy Trees Set. I stamped one tree using pretty in pink ink and melon mambo ink. I love both of these pinks!! The trunks are stamped with chocolate chip. I love how the spiral shape can either be a tree or just a decorative element. I stamped it on the melon mambo cardstock using melon mambo ink to get a pretty tone-on-tone effect. This card is simple and cute!

trendy trees...in pink!

Happy Monday!! Another weekend gone by so quickly!

Here is another take on the tree set. I thought, "why not pink?" for the trees and I love how it looks. I think this color combo works great! Sometimes it's hard for me to stray from the colors that things "should" be but I usually love it when I do. I must remember to be more imaginative!

For the card, I started with pretty in pink for the base, then used a piece of rose red that I put through my cuttlebug to add dots on. Then I stamped the trees in rose, chocolate and Kiwi kiss and chocolate chip. I framed the trees with kiwi kiss and chocolate chip card stock and attached it on the card with pop dots.

Trendy Trees

Besides the two Bird sets from the catalog, this set was my other "must have". I absolutely love it! Not only are the trees adorable, but it's so versatile you could use it for almost any occasion and for a guy or girl. Here is one of the first cards I made for it. It's a thinking of you card using my favorite new color combo with this set: kiwi kiss, baja breeze, chocolate chip and barely banana. I love the look of these colors together. It's a simple card with just a few extra accents, the double-stitched ribbon and button brads (not from SU, I think they're EK Success).

Here is another cute and simple card using nearly the same color scheme. This one I just used solid cardstock in layers of color and the paper piercing template to create interest.
