Angry Birthday!

Here is a fun punch art card I made for my brother for his birthday. He loves Angry Birds so I used a bunch of punches and made some for him!  Then I cut out a couple of shapes using the Framelits Labels dies to use as a frame for them. The background is the Fancy Fan embossing folder. These were easy to make but the little pieces are hard to glue together. I recommend using a liquid glue for something like this.

stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
ink: Black
paper:  Basic Black, Whisper white, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin pie, Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze
Big Shot: Framelits Labels Dies, Fancy Fancy Fan embossing Folder

Owlie Box!

Happy Halloween! Here is the first of one of the projects for my upcoming Halloween Class - Isn't he adorable? I just love owls, especially with the big eyes, so I knew I had to try to make an owl for my class. His body is the Fancy Favor Die box and the "feathers" are cut out from the Howlstooth and Scarringbone Designer Series Paper in the Holiday Mini catalog. To cut them I used the Adorning Accents Edgelit die. Then all you need is various circle and oval punches! He's a perfect gift once you add in some shredded paper and candy!

ink: None!
paper:  More Mustard, Basic Gray, Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, Howlstooth and Scarringbone Designer Series Paper
Big Shot: Adorning Accents Edgelit, Fancy Favor Die

Three Tags Card

Does it feel like fall yet? Not quite here but I know it's not too far off. Today I'm sharing another Fall card I made. This is a simple card made using the Day of Gratitude stamp set and the tag punch. I haven't used this punch in awhile so I pulled it out for this card. I stamped the leaves in 3 different fall colors and punched out. I added some scallop polka dot ribbon with a staple on the top of each one. For the background,  I embossed a some early espresso paper with the woodgrain embossing folder to give it some texture.  Then a bit of Scallop trim border punch to add some color along the bottom!

stamps: Day of Gratitude, Teeny Tiny Wishes
ink: Eary Espresso, More Mustard, Cajun Craze
paper:  Eary Espresso, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake
Big Shot: Woodgrain Embossing folder

Perfectly Preserved Pear!

Here is a pretty little pear card we made at my Fall stamp-a-stack last week.  I used the stamp set Perfectly Preserved and the coordinating framelits dies (cannery) to create the jar and pear inside. For the lid, I simply used the die to cut out a piece of paper from the Orchard Harvest Designer Series paper pack.   I added a punched out 2.5" circle behind them to help them pop off the card. The background of the card was created using the Lacy Brocade Embossing folder.

stamps: Perfectly Preserved
ink: More Mustard, Old Olive, Black
paper:  Crumb Cake, early espresso, Old Olive, Whisper White, Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper
Big Shot: Framelits Dies - Cannery Set and Labels Set, Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder

Simple Silhouette

Last, but not least, the final card from the Fall Stamp-a-Stack. I know I've seen this idea a few places online and wanted to try it. It's such a pretty, simple card! I used cherry cobbler and always artichoke to make it feel like Fall but you could easily refresh this card in light colors for spring.   I stamped the flower and then used the paper piercing circle stencil  and tool to create the simple circle around it. It's amazing how that little detail adds so much to this card!  I also rounded the card edges and added on a "fork" bow with the seam binding ribbon.

stamps: Summer Silhouette, Fabulous Phrases
ink: Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, So saffron, early espresso
paper:  Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
other: paper piercing template and tool, crumb cake seam binding ribbon

Fall Birthday Card

Another card from my Fall stamp-a-stack last week. For this card I used the set Day of Gratitude from the big catalog. This is one of my favorite fall stamp sets. I love the bold leaf images and the beautiful Medallion!

On this card I did something I rarely do.. I used the color Bravo Burgundy!  For some reason I've always disliked this color and never use it on projects.. but when I started the the more mustard  and olive and was looking for a dark color to coordinate, I found myself reaching for it and actually love how this turned out. I even ordered myself another pack of this color paper…. gasp!

stamps: Day of Gratitude, Teeny Tiny Wishes
ink: More Mustard, Old Olive, Bravo Burgundy
paper:  More Mustard, Old Olive, Bravo Burgundy, Whisper White
other: Scallop oval and oval punches,  dimensionals, Bakers Twine, scalloped polka dot ribbon in old olive
